Island Comfort Cuisine was born from a beautiful union of cultures and flavors. Co-founded by a Grenadian man and a Georgia-born woman, our story began with love—not only for each other, but for food that nourishes the soul. Growing up in two distinct yet equally rich food traditions, we discovered that Caribbean spice and Southern comfort pair perfectly on one plate.
Inspired by family recipes passed down through generations and countless evenings spent cooking for loved ones, we launched Island Comfort Cuisine with the mission to bring those flavors to the community. Our food reflects our roots: bold, flavorful, and always made with love.
We began with pop-up events and pre-sale plates in 2025, offering signature dishes such as jerk chicken, curry chicken, mac and cheese, and plantains. The response was overwhelming. Fueled by community support and a shared vision, we expanded into catering and are now preparing for our grand opening as a full-service soul food truck with a Caribbean twist.
At Island Comfort Cuisine, we believe that food should do more than satisfy—it should comfort, connect, and celebrate culture. We’re proud to serve meals that remind people of home, wherever that may be.

ABOUT
TAMIKA & AARON
Island Comfort Cuisine was born from a love story—one that began on Facebook Dating, where Aaron and Tamika first met. From their very first conversation, they discovered a shared passion for cooking that ran deep in their roots. Aaron brought bold, rich flavors from his Caribbean homeland of Grenada, while Tamika shared the soulful, comforting tastes of Southern Georgia.
What started in their kitchen quickly became something more. Cooking wasn’t just a hobby—it was how they bonded, built their relationship, and created joy together. As they blended their cultural flavors, something special happened: friends and family couldn’t get enough. Whether it was jerk chicken with mac and cheese or oxtails with collard greens, their food became the highlight of every gathering.
Then one night, Tamika had a dream—one so vivid and clear, she knew it was a calling. From that dream, Island Comfort Cuisine was created: a place where comfort meets Caribbean flavor, and where every meal tells a story of love, unity, and tradition.
Today, Island Comfort Cuisine is more than a restaurant—it’s a celebration of two cultures, two hearts, and one delicious vision.
